Follow up - (15 minutes) a
routine check up on known problems.
Sick/New problem - (15 - 30 minutes)
a more extended visit that a routine follow up to address new complaints or symptoms.
Physical examination - (45 - 60
minutes) an all-over exam is recommended once a year. All new patients must get a complete physical in order to establish
a database. This visit includes a thorough exam, lab work and EKG. Physicals are done in the afternoons only.
Minor surgery - (45 - 60 minutes)
office surgery, which can include removal of moles or other skin lesions, removal of ingrown toenails, etc. Minor surgeries
are only done in the afternoons
Dr. Bennett does rounds at Roane Medical Center in the early morning and arrives at the office between 9:00 and 9:30. For this reason, we generally reserve the
early appointments for patients needing fasting labs prior to seeing the doctor. This gives us time to run the blood
work and have it on your chart when you see the doctor. If you do not have to have blood work, it is advisable to schedule
your appointment in the late morning or afternoon.
Canceling/Rescheduling appointments
If you need to cancel
or reschedule your appointment, we request that you give us at least 24 hours notice, so that another patient can fill your
appointment time. In the case of a physical or minor surgery, we request 72 hours notice if at all possible, as we block
off 45 minutes or more for these appointments.
